Situated in Tanah Rata, the Sultan Ahmad Shah Golf Club is approximately 1.5 kilometres northwest of Century Pines Resort. From the resort, head northwest onto Jalan Golf Course, passing the Cameron Highlands Tourism Centre. Continue straight for roughly 5 minutes by car or a 20-minute walk. The club is nestled amidst rolling hills and lush greenery, making it easily identifiable.

Established in 1935 as the Cameron Highlands Golf Club, this 18-hole course is one of Malaysia’s oldest highland golfing destinations. Renamed in 1984 after Sultan Ahmad Shah of Pahang, the club spans 5,500 metres at an elevation of 1,500 metres above sea level. The course is renowned for its challenging terrain, featuring undulating fairways, narrow greens, and cool temperatures (averaging 15–20°C). Surrounded by tea plantations, pine forests, and vibrant hydrangeas, it offers a serene, misty ambiance unique to Cameron Highlands.

Green fees vary: non-members pay RM50–80 (weekdays) and RM80–100 (weekends). Caddy services cost RM25–40 per round, while club rentals range from RM50–100. Discounts may apply for junior players or group bookings. Members enjoy reduced rates, though temporary visitors are welcome.

The club operates daily from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM, weather permitting. Tee times are recommended, particularly during peak seasons (March–September). The clubhouse and restaurant typically open earlier, around 6:30 AM, for breakfast and pre-game preparations.

Originally designed by British expatriates during the colonial era, the course served as a leisure retreat for officials. Post-independence, it became a public attraction, with upgrades in the 1980s under Sultan Ahmad Shah’s patronage. Its heritage is reflected in vintage photographs and memorabilia displayed in the clubhouse.
