Brinchang Town, situated approximately 4 kilometres northeast of Century Pines Resort in Tanah Rata, is one of Cameron Highlands’ principal towns. To reach Brinchang from the resort, head northeast via Jalan Besar (Main Road), a 10–15 minute drive by taxi (RM10–RM15). Public transport is limited, making taxis or private vehicles the most reliable options.


Brinchang, established during the 1930s British colonial era, blends rustic charm with vibrant tourism. Known for its cool climate (15–25°C), the town is a hub for agriculture, notably tea plantations, strawberry farms, and vegetable nurseries. Key attractions include the bustling Brinchang Night Market (Pasar Malam), Cactus Valley, and the Sam Poh Buddhist Temple. Nearby natural wonders like the Mossy Forest and BOH Tea Plantations add to its allure, offering misty landscapes and panoramic views.

  • BOH Tea Plantation: Free entry; 8:45 AM–4:30 PM (closed Mondays).


Developed as a hill station during British rule, Brinchang was named after a colonial engineer involved in its expansion. Initially an agricultural centre for tea and later strawberries, it evolved into a tourist hotspot, retaining historical charm through landmarks like the Time Tunnel Museum, which showcases Cameron Highlands’ heritage.
